I have a 67 USG tank 48"x18"

I have 3m and 12fm yellow labs.

Can I add more fish?

I know convetional wisedom says overstocking is good with Malawis but what is overstocking?

Could I add 2 bristlenose plecs and say 4 or 5 cynotilapia afra or another group of labs?

The labs are betwenn 2" - 4".

I would like to get my final stocking for this tank done and then just let it mature.

Thanks for the input.

I would imagine you'll get a mixed response to that question.

2 BN's - definately no problem

More Mbuna is certainly possible provided your filtration is extremely high. I wouldn't add a different lab species, mixing Mbuna species is risky at best, even labs and most of the other lab species such as Hongi are a lot higher up the aggression scale than caeruleus.

I don't see a problem with adding 4 or 5 of one of the smaller Mbuna species, like Afra or Saulosi. :good:

as long as the filtration is up to it - then sure :good: you've got a 48" long tank so swimming space if fine you could add the fish you wanted no worries - just don't go for big boys as it were, although i think saulois would be lost in that tank of 12 yellow labs

go for an afra of some type methinks :good:

Ferris was right there would be a 'mixed response' :hey:
