Now ill admit im not the best plant grower. I seem to get algae and other problems which results in the plants dying. So heres my idea. ( i have read all the articles )

CAN I use my spare 50 litre tank as a plant tank by covering the inside completeley in tin foil to increase light, and use a 5 litre co2 injector and dry ferts to feed plants. I hope that if i take my plants out and grow them in there for a month or so, they will be healthy enough to go back in the tank.

Any help appreciated.

Great idea. You can make it more plant friendly without worrying about affecting fish.

What are your ideas to prevent the algae from growing in the 50L tank?

Hey.
It will be kinda a plant hospital. Not worried about algae in there too much as i need to rid it from my tank first. At least this way i can dose high on co2 and nutrients (carefull not to excess) and give the plants the boost they need. I was gonna go get a mirror and cut it up to fit mt 2 foot tank on all sides and bottom, and avoid the tin foil. Im gonna give it a go anyways. any comments welcome.....

Hopefully they will be hardy enough so when they come out they will thrive.

Suggest you gradually raise the dosage, otherwise you might find that the algae has overtaken plant growth.
