Someone forwarded me an email today with a bunch of strange things on it and this photo was among them. I'm sure it's probably real.

I can see the fish in this thing lasting a long time, especially, once a little soap leaks in.

So when a fish dies it will have to float around cos it doesnt look easy to access anything! funny pic though!

 just think of the toothpaste slobber. Or filling the sink with warm water to wash your face.
That's just silly and totally impractical

Now the coffee table/fish tank I totally can understand. But a sink? A sink? While we're at it, why not do the whole bathroom line? A toilet bowl tank! Watch the fish dance as you flush. Good Lord!

No wait ! A bath with a glass bottom ! Just think - you can have a bath while watching the fish swim underneath you

There are a few like this...........and the pic has been posted a few times........

.....There is also one in the cistern of a toilet.....(or part cistern).....

......don't really agree with them to be honest........just a gimmick....and a poorly thought out one at that..... :(

haha a bath fish tank
think of the sights the poor fish are going to get!!

Personally I wouldn't keep fish in it. Just having hot water to shave with might throw the temp way off. But I would fill it with colored water for oh those festive months.

Sadly, the sink is real. I have seen it before on one of those home decorating shows. The soap dishes on both sides lift up to reveal big holes cut out so you can feed the fish. Of course that also means hot water can easily get in if you happen to splash some over the side of the basin (which happens all the time).

I've seen one of these tanks up close and personal.
I was staying in Japan at a conference centre and the whole hotel had focus towards aquatic life.
The reception desk was a huge acryllic curved marine tank facing toward the entrance foyer, the floor beneath the bar was a 7 foot deep coral filled masterpiece. Each room has it's own theme, be it planted (amanoesque etc) marine or freshwater.
For some reason, i have no recollection of the presentations  even though we were there for a week.

Just think what would happen if soap got in... eww :( Still, I do think that looks quite pretty - though entirely impractical and pointless (and how many goldfish...).

As for that other one - imaginative name, even 'ingenious' :p But what a tasteless idea! (and, again, goldfish!!!)
