I think I asked this before but don't think I got an answer..... anyway.

What exactly is dechlorinater made of?

Is it actually possible to overdose with this stuff in a harmful way?
What would be the effects? Would it irritate the fish?

I am wondering this also.
As my new dechlorinater is 5ml for every 200l so im bout to over dose a little

My de-chloinator is made up of sodium hydroxymethane sulfinate, chelating compounds, polyvinylpyrollidones, seaweed biopolymers and organic hydrocolloids. :hyper: ....which means absolutely nothing to me! I think that the colloids are the slime replacement and some of it is minerals.
I usually just free pour it in whenever I do a water change and no harm has ever come to my fish. That said, I wouldn't go pouring the whole lot in  ...swimming in slime might pose some challenges, lol!
