I have a tall 65 gallon tank (36"x15"x29") woth various fish like mollies, platys, glowlight tetras, corys, a ram and krib, and two sunset gouramis.

I originally thought about having a pair or so angels in my tank, but ended up getting the glowlight tetras (which the lfs lady said would be eaten by the angels). I know this is of big "contraversy", but since the glowlights aren't as streamline as neons, are they still as edible to the angel? Also, I think I might have my upper level too full to add angels (7 danios, 2 gouramis, 4 mollies, 2 platys), all except the 7 danios swim pretty much all over the tank. Is my tank too busy, and are the tetras too little to add the angels?

I really think it would depend on how big they are when you get them. I have 4 neons cohabitating peacefully with 1 nearly full grown angel and 3 smaller ones in a 30 tall.
If the fish is small enough for them to get in there mouth, the angels will probably try to eat them. Otherwise, they should be ok. At least mine are.

I wouldnt worry about the top being full if you are getting angels. Mine spend most of their time poking at the plants and swimmiing around all levels of the tank. If you get the angels while they are still small and they grow up with these fish around they will not think they are food. It is usually when you add neons to a tank where angels already reside that you get the horror stories occurring. :)

About how fast to angels grow? Do they tend to reach full-size within a year? Almost all of the angels I've seen are about the size of a quarter (body, not including fins).

If I do decide to go with angels, should I get one, two, or more?

P.S. Now that I have a complete list of my 65 gallon, is it too full for any number of angels?
