ok i have a 75 gal. that has been running for 5-6 weeks and it started getting greyish around the 4th week so i tried to clear it up with stress coat and some other ones that cleared biologicaly caused cloudyness and another that was supposed to clear the water of fine particals i also did a 20gal. water change later on and it got better but about 5 days ago it started to turn green so today i did another 20 gal. change and cleaned my filter (fluval 305 with biomax and zeo-carb media i also added some super fine filter cloth to the lowest basket)
all my fish seem to be fine my ph is around 6.5 nitrate and nitrite are 0 but my amonia is above 8 but ive been using ammo lock witch changes the amonia lvl. but the readings come out wrong and i have no idea what to do so some help would be awsome. :good: thx

What fish are in the tank.

That filter only for a 70 gallons, need to know what fish are in the tank to tell us if you are overstocked.

Looked at your stock in your profile your understocked so that fine.
How often are you doing a gravel vac and water change.
Have you touched any of the sponges.
What test kit are you using.

well i cleaned the sponges and replaced 2 of them and the filter is only rated 5 gal. under my tank size and with all the gravel and stuff in it theres more like 72 gal. of water in the tank so.... but doth times i changed the water i have vaccumed it

im using API master test kit

Tank gone into a mini cycle with replacing sponges lost to much benefical bacteria.
You must do a gravel vac once a week with a water change.
Should only slightly rinse one sponge at a time in old tank water.
