Angry Betta

I've had my platy's for a few months and purchased a Betta about 4 weeks ago.

He's fine. He used to get along ok with everyone else in the tank, but just yesterday he started going for one of my platys. Just the one. His gills on the side of his face flare up and he chases hime around. The Platy seems to be a bit quicker than him and can get out of his way, but it seems to be evertime he see's him.

Any comments?

Your betta probably thinks your [male] platy is a female betta--and he can't figure out why "she" isn't responding to his advances.

You should take the betta out of the tank and get him his own little home. Some bettas get along with platys, some just don't.
