If I were to get an Angelfish, what could I feed him to make him grow faster? (like frozen? etc)

Could an Angelfish be kept with a Severum or a Front?

Thanks

An angel would probably do ok with a severum, but IDK about the front.
usually flakes/sticks are the best foods, because they are very nutritious. Use those kinds of food as a staple, and feed the angel(s) frozen every other day or so as a treat

They're rather fond of freeze dried blood worm. Mine happily munch on the catfish pellets (they live with cats y'see) too. I also offer flake and live food.
I really can't help with the companions tho. Mine are currently living with 2 brachysynodontis (greater upside down fish) and 3 female platties. And they're very happy.
Hugs,
P.

As omnivores they also like veggies like peas and spirulina flake. Frozen brine shrimp and mysis are good supplements too. They can be mixed with severums, but it takes big tank to do it - sevs get pretty large and cichlid need their space. Fronts are much different, from a completely different biotope. They're also big fish that need lots of space.

Let the fish grow at a natural pace. Overfeeding and overindulging in meaty food will get it growing quicker, but it will also take a toll on it's long term health and lifespan, and somtimes it's looks too.

If you want it to grow to maximum size, without shortening it's lifespan, forget about the front or sev. Dedicate one tank, at least a 29 gallon, a 55 would be better, to the lone angel. Mix up the feeding, a good quality flake with some frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, & finely chopped beefheart. Feed small amounts, 3 times a day or more, with 2 feedings flake to one frozen. Don't overfeed, just feed more often with small amounts.

A bare bottom tank will work best for cleanliness. Twice weekly water changes of 50% or more are just as important as feeding. Keep the temp around 82F. You could kick up the temp to a good 86 to 88F to speed up growth, but you will shorten the lifespan.

Forget about getting fish from any lfs, it could be hit or miss. Contact a local breeder, tell him you want one of the faster growers out of a spawn. Or look at http://www.angelsplus.com/cgi-bin/cart.pl?...arch=InStockNow
