Fish Fanatic
This summer, I'll be moving my Asian tank to a 75 gallon, selling off my 55, and purchasing a new tank - 4' long, 75 gal minimum, 90 possible, 120 ideal (It's to go on a concrete slab, so I am not worried about stability. 4' is the maximun length.)
In any case, I want to center it on a group of Angels (Preferably wild type scalares or half-blacks). The initial plan was to get 6 to 10 (depending on tank size) and see who pairs off. Now, with a group of 6, I ought to get two pairs - should the others be removed?
The balance of the stocking would be a small number of dwarf platies as live food factories, a school of Diamond tetras (8-10), a School of Hatchets (8-10), 4-5 Hoplo cats, 1 Banjo cat, 2-3 Bristlenosed Plecos, 1 Bulldog pleco, and if space warrants, a shoal of cories.
Reading through the first 5 pages, I see that 10 gallons per unpaired Angel, 5 per paired Angel is proper. I'd like 3 pairs.
I realize this is way ahead of the game, but I figure I ought to start thinking about in now, so come July or August, I can hit the ground running and get the tank running by September.
