i realize most loaches act a bit odd but i've had this guy a long time and he's definitly acting out of character.plus he has a white area around his right eye.any ideas?

is it possible to load a pic up.
Does the white look like bleaching beneath the skin, does the patch look fluffy, any redness to the white patch.
Any signs of excess mucas or flicking and rubbing.
Are your water stats ok.
Is his eyes ok.
Could he have damaged himself on anything in the tank.
Does the heater have a guard.

i can't get a pic because he's hiding, there's no redness or swelling,my heater is plastic,i don't think he could have hurt himself on the tank decorations as i have left it the same way for over a year because he and my other angelic loach have found their own homes and i have never wanted to disturb them.i'll have to get back to you on water stats.the only thing different going on in my tank is my german rams have laid eggs but i don't think one of them could have hurt him.

If he's acting out of charactor and being lethagic it could be bacterial.
Can you issolate him and try a bacterial med.

Don't put him in the bag then.
If the fish have just laid eggs I would only half dose a bacterial med. As you are not meant to use full dose with fry.

what med do you recomend?off topic for a second,i wanted to thank you again,a while back the krib in my sig was sick with septicimia and you told me what i needed to do to and she is still doing great, she got all of color back and she is fiesty as ever.i hope all the people you've helped have given you proper thanks.

I would try maracyn if you have it. But only half dose with not having an isolation tank.

Thanks.
Glad she made it bless her. As septicemia can be a fast killer.
