Angelfish

I have 2 relatively large angels (about 10-12cm height), but not sure on sex...Possible both the same sex as nothing has happened between them

The main thing im looking for is finding ways of dropping down their aggression to each other

They will swim with each other happily for ages, then on other days all they do is fight each other! Im talking about swimming head on at each other, banging into each others sides, mouth open attack....then all of a sudden, its stops!

Is this normal? are there ways I can get it to calm down?

I have no chemical problems, all is fine there, and they are in a 80g tank with plenty of swimming space and plants, aswell as other decor...They can spend days just happily swimming, then its all out attack at each other, and its mainly the silver coloured thats starting it!

Would getting another angel ateast help calm the situation down? If so, do I need the same size Angel or just another youngster? Bearing in mind, the youngster will be smaller than both my Angels

It could be a male and female because that sounds like the behavior they show when they are testing each other out to make sure they are bout strong enough to breed.

The good thing is neither of them have damaged each others scales or fins, and sometimes it does look like they are kissing! But the worse of it is when 1 of them swims fast straight into the other! Then they sit there facing each other and it looks like their having a fit with the way they jolt forward and back quickly

Reminds me of a chav wanting a fight after a few stellas!! lol!

Yeah I had two that did that a lot and then they would lay eggs soon after.I still have the male who is a stunner unfortunalty I lost the female for some reason.

Ok, so best bet would be keep an eye out in case 1 of them starts doing strange things? Ive never bread fish, whether it be intentional or not, so not sure what to look out for, or hwo to deal with it...If they lay eggs then I will have the problem with the clowns and plec that scour the bottom cleaning away
