Iv never understood what the best specimin of angelfish would be ... a straight nose, or one that juts out.. like a pig is the only way I can descibe it

If you understand what im talking about lol, then please discuss ...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Dumerili will often have a more pointed upturned nose, this is one of the more classic wild forms of angels. Others like to see a more perfectly round body with a shorter nose, more of a domestic angel trait. Altums will have a taller, almost angular body, this is another trait that many folks like.
 
it also depends on the age of the fish. Old males will often develo a bump on their head, which is perfectly normal for some species.
If you are unsure, perhaps post a pic of your fish and we can make fun of it's hideously deformed face :)
Only joking about making fun of it :)

If you can find an old fish book or magazine that was written many years ago, or a book on wild caught fish, then you should be able to see what the wild caught fish look like and compare them to your fish.
