angelfish with african brown knife?

i am moving my oranda to a 46gal tank that i got the other day which leaves my 29 free. i have had 3 quarter sized angelfish (and a rubbernose) in a 10 gal qt tank for about a week and a half. they will be going into the 29 tomorrow. the tank will be heavily planted. so would a brown knife be a bad idea? think the blackwater conditions may bother him? would there be trouble beween he and the angels?
i was also considering getting a group of raphael cats (4) but am afraid they would grow too big for a 29. (of course they are about 3 inches at the pet store right now)...alhough...
that would just give me another reason to get a bigger tank...

I think a BK might get too big for that tank, I am assuming it's tall for the angels. it's not something I would do to be honest, also have you thought about the liklihood of 2 of the angels pairing up?

I've had that combo..it works out just fine. Average size on the knife would be 8-12 inches. You couldn't have more then one knife in the tank as they do get aggressive towards other knives as they mature.
That size tank would be ok ...for a while,but 55 would be needed as the fish all mature.

i didnt think the knives got any bigger than 8 inches. we have some at work that are 8 inches and then we have some weenie 4 inch ones. i guess i should probably go with one of the weenies then.

i will probably end up getting a 55 anyways.

i dont think one of the angels is going to make it. it was the one i added last that kind of hangs out by himself. i dont think he was in good condition when i got him. maybe i will just stick with the two that i have (they are all lovey together so i am assuming they will be a pair)
