Happy New Year fish carers worldwide,
Any help on what this white band is towards the top of my angelfish's dorsal fin?
About a week ago, I noticed that the very end of the fin looked a bin spiny, although I wasn't sure whether it had always been like this.
The gaps between the spines seem to have repaired very quickly in a matter of days.
However, about 48 hours ago, I noticed a thin white horizontal line across the dorsal fin, just below were it had previously looked frayed.
I've noticed this morning that the white band had widened and is about 2mm across now.
Is this just a growth line where some healing is taking place, or something else.
Any help appreciated.
Behaviour and appetite is normal btw and water stats all good.
It's a medium planted community tank.
There was a stunted firemouth in the tank who used to scrap quite a bit with the angel, but he died a couple of weeks ago.
