Angelfish Spawning

oh wow my angelfish are spawning, the female is laying eggs on the uv sterilizer at the moment & lots of them at that. not sure what happens with the eggs now. think the angels look after themselves don't they. not that i've really got room to bring up angel fry. but makes me feel good about tanks as it means they are doing really well

Nothing is going to happen because you need a male to fertilize the eggs and since you only have 1 angelfish nothing is going to happen. I'd also watch the angel with the neons because once the angel gets big enough they will become a snack for it.

Are they in a tank of their own?.....you signature says you only have one angel so I wasnt sure....I assume thats out of date though, unless you fish is the virgin mary.

Congrats! Get a male for her I don't remember how to sex angelfish. Been a looonnng time since I kept them. But, angelfish are the one of the most popular fish at most LFS. If you are able to raise the fry you can always find an LFS that will give you something for them.

The only way to tell male from female is when they get big and a pair is formed and these little stick thinge come out of them or something like that.

hi all
yeah sorry bout the sig it is out of date, the angels that have spawned are in the 240 litre tank & there is 2 of them & they are male & female.
will update sig now atm i haven't got anywhere to keep them seperate anyway as the cory fry have the only empty tank in the house for now. it just makes me feel really good about my tanks as it means they are all nice & healthy
