My 2 Angelfish, who are each about 3-3.5", and one is REALLY fat (not dropsy, shes fat, not pine-coned scaled) have been focussing on about 2 leaves on my Brazilian Sword Plant the last couple of days, and the male has been folding his fin extensions and running his body along the leaf, and if the female doesn't do the same, he chases her around the tank, and back to the leaf. Is this pre-spawning behavior or what? Also, the female has a tube like thing coming out her bum, I thought it was poo, but its been there for a while, and is sort of a brownish-opaque color, and its really FAT. Are they getting ready to spawn or what?

Sounds like spawning behavior to me. Bet you have eggs within a day or 2. If they are in with any other fish, especially angels, make sure that the other fish have someplace to hide. Spawning angels can get brutal with other fish.

Go with the baby brine shrimp. That's what every successful breeder I've ever talked to uses. It only takes around 10 minuites more work each day to hatch a new batch. After a few weeks you can start feeding finely ground flakes in addition to bbs, gradually switching off the bbs and on to adult food. I've never had much luck with the liquid fry food, bbs makes all the difference in the world.

Well, I won't have to worry about it. They ate all the eggs, and by the time they lay new ones, I will have a breeding setup ready.
