I am still having issues with my bueno aires tetra eating my angelfish! I now have 6 tetra as that was recommended and I see no improvement :(

What I want to know now is what's the best solution for my angelfish. I have another 55 gallon tank with guppies, mollies, gourami, and cories. Should I move the angelfish to that tank to avoid their fins being eaten? Will they be okay with those fish, better than they are with the BA tetra? I know the guppies might get eaten eventually, but to be honest i'm not that worried about them, my angelfish are still very small.

The other option is to remove my BA tetra, but I had to get rid of them :( and they are pretty cool.

Ideas?

yea i would say move the angel fish because once a fish starts nipping at their fins they wont stop until they are out.. also i had this problem with my gourami.. a gold gourami.. man she ate the whole top fin off.. got her out and now she is in my 20 gallon instead of my 40 gallon were my angel is.

and if you move the angelfish catch them, put them in a bag of their tank water and move them over to the 55 gallon and let the bag rest on the water for 15mins.. etc you probably know the dill lol

and the fish that in your 55 gallon should not attack them. all community fish in there. but if the gourami is a male he might harass the angel.. if its a dwarf or a powder blue then it should be fine.. if a gold gourami or on the lines of that size then they might go nip.

They seem to be doing good in the other tank. I think I might lose the one that got picked on last night though :(
