Hi! I just got three small Angelfish. They were supposed to be Platinum, but the lady got me what she calls 'pearlscale'...problem is they are a semi transparent (or at least translucent) shiny white, and the fact that I can see their spine annoys me. I know Platinums are not transparent and neither are pearlscales, so what are they?
Anyway, I plan to trade the two big ones for real platinum angels.
The smallest one I have grown rather fond of. He is like the others but has a small bit of black marbling on him.
What is his most likely genotype, so that I can put him in http://angelfins.ca/index.php?main_page=genetics_calculator ? What will I get if I breed him to a proper Platinum, assuming I can get them to pair up?
Thanks!
~PK.

Transparency is often a feature of a double dose of the stripeless gene. Known as blushing by phenotype. You should be able to see red through the gill covers as the lack of a normal gene on both alleles causes a lack of gill cover pigment.
