My breeding pair of angels are on their 3rd batch of eggs atm and there are fry from the last batch still in the tank with them, these only hatched nearly two weeks ago!!! I have a small tank housing 6 two month old fry from their first egg hatching session. My question is would it be safe to put the wriggler sin the same tank as the older fry or would I have to get yet another tank. Thanks in advance

Hi, I have 2 month old angelfish fry at the moment and they are quite large so it depends how big yours are compared to the two week old fry, if they look like they can fit them in their mouth then I wouldn't try, they all grow at different rates so some may be smaller than others, how big is the tank the 6 x 2 month old fry are in? the problem with breeding fish is you end up running out of space really quick I have two 80L tanks on my kitchen work top just for fry at the minute!

Thanks for that The older fry are quite small perhaps the size of a 5p piece I've got them in a small starter tank that you buy for a child ( it is big enough for the atm) As soon as they're big enough the local aquarium shop will take them. At the minute I have a 180l mixed aquarium 120l for the 2 breeding angels a smaller aquarium which housed a pack of barbs of which there are only 2 left but I can't move these into the bigger aquarium cos they're vicious little bleeders! I'm running out of room rapidly and was wondering if there'd be a solution without buying another tank!!

I would be inclined to keep the smaller fry in with the parents then just to be safe, you'd think they would hold off breeding as they have young fry to care for

I wouldn't allow the third lot to develop as it sounds like your hands are full already, they will keep breeding

Hahaha thanks for that They're obviously not gonna stop anytime soon!! If there was a Jeremy Kyle show for fish they'd be the stars!!!! I thought they'd have learned the first time but heyho Thanks again for your advice its much appreciated
