OMG! I just noticed the Angelfish in my community tank has eggs! She deposited them on one of the plant leaves and now she's protecting them from the pair of Keyhold Cichlids I have in with her. There is no male Angel in the tank, so they aren't fertilized, but this is the first time I've ever seen this! I've never had an egglayer produce eggs in any community tank I've ever had before (at least that I saw). It's so cute, she keeps going over and fanning them, then she chases away anyone who comes too close.
Well this answers my question as to whether I had a male or female Angel. Maybe I'll look for a male to put in with her and remove the Keyholes and see if I can get some baby Angels
Anyway, just thought I'd share my excitement, hehe.
