I bought a pair of angels off a friend last friday. they laid their first batch of aggs for me yesterday during the afternoon sometime. when I got home after 9pm, they were almost all white. this morningn they ate them all except for a few! what happened? what do I need to do differently?
they are in a 29 gallon bare bottom tank by themselves.

Bright white eggs within the first 24 hours are infertile. Fertile eggs are a translucent cream color. Since this is their first spawn after being moved I wouldn't worry too much, turning down any water flow fron the filters while they are spawning usually increases fertility.

Angels eating spawns is par for the course, often you need to pull the spawn to get a good hatch rate. The further angels are from being wild, the less likely they are to parent raise.
