So, I'm moving out to university tomorrow and my Angels have spawned for the 3rd time. Again, at an inconvenient time.

The last spawned in July, and the previous July too (both 1 day before we left to go on holiday). They ate both their eggs last time, but there was a lot of white eggs last time very quickly, and its not the case this time. They have laid about 3-400 eggs on my Juwel filter box, for the last two times its been around 200 eggs or less. And only about 5 are white (unfertilised?) and the rest are clearish still.

Any help? I can't be doing with eggs, and my parents will be looking after the tank from tomorrow util Christmas so they can't look after anything either.

And I need to do a water change tonight to show my parents how maintenance is done, but the eggs are at the top so the water will be below them when doing the water change.

Any help please?
Thanks

Firstly, if you were able to raise them, can you properly house a few 100 angel fry which will need live food initially several times/day? I would suggest tat to raise the number of fry you would get from a fertile spawn of this size is a pair of 55 gal tanks.

Angels are normally good parents, sometimes taking a few tries to get it right. However, they will eat their own eggs or wigglers before letting somebody else to have them as a good meal. This is why community tanks are not often a good place for spawning and raising fry.

If you would like to try raising a few on your own you can always pull some eggs to a proper trap or small tank.

The eggs should basically not be allowed to be exposed to air. And certainly not for more than a few brief seconds. The good part, as you should already know, is that they tend to keep spawning once they start. So your best option maybe to let happen what happens and then concentrate on the next spawn when you can have sufficient time and proper stet-ups to deal with a spawn.

Mate if you cant care for them either, destroy the eggs now, or just leave them to it, hoping the will get eaten again,
Yeah, it will be the best option I think

I've never wanted them to spawn, it just happens and is out of my control. So, if they shouldn't be exposed to air, I will expose them and then take them off the filter and maybe drop them in to let the other fish eat them.
I will never be able to support Angel fry.
