Hi all,

My pair of Angels have spawn this morning, which will be around the sixth time they have spawned together.
On previous occasions i have left the eggs in tank, to then find they had disappeared within a couple of days. They normally spawn on the Juwel filter box at the rear right of the tank, this morning they have decided to spawn on the interanl side of the magnet glass cleaner.

I have set up a small net inside tank, and placed a plastic tub inside, with a rock to sink the tub and then the magnet with the eggs on:

Can i ask is this setup going to work? can i have some advise if there is a better way of attempting to hatch the eggs.

Will i be successfull to leave them like this?, i have bought a spray bar for my 305 so there is some water movement across the top of the net. Is there anything else i may need to do?

Your opinions please

Thanks in advance

It may work, but the parents usually eat the infertile or fungused eggs. They also fan the eggs to keep fungus away, so I would out a bubbler underneath it to keep them areated.

Tolak will be able to answer your questions better as he breeds angels.

You need to run an air stone in the tub until they hatch. For any success with angels you do need freshly hatched bbs, build a hatchery & give it a test run before they are freswimming.
