I came home and I saw about 150 eggs on one of my plants, after my two larger angelfish started hovering over them I figured that the eggs were probably theirs. I didn't think they were big enough to breed yet, they'e about 3" long and 5.5" tall. One is a silver angel and the other is a marble. I wasn't planning on breeding them so I'm not sure what to do. I actually just bought 5 1" yoyo loaches to help with my snail problem but now I'm afraid to put them in, I don't want them eating the eggs. Would it be safe? I don't know if I should move the eggs to the 10 gallon I use for injured fish or if I should just do leave them in there. Any ideas on what to do? Also how long does it take for the eggs to hatch?

I've already read about breeding them but I'm asking; should I put the loaches in? Should I put the eggs in my 10 gallon or leave them there?

Loachs will eat the eggs, or at least try, which will make the parents eat them. If you want to try your hand at breeding them best bet is to move them. You should see wigglers in 3-4 days, swimmers in 6-7 days.

I think maybe I'll leave them in the tank, and see how it goes. I can put the loaches in my 30 gallon for now, I guess. I also have 2 kribs in my 120 would those also be a risk to the eggs? I could probably make a divider tomorrow and section off 1/4 of the tank.

Kribs will eat them as well, nearly any fish I can think of won't pass up the free meal. While the divider will work for hatching, if the fry can sneak through once swimming the kribs will eat them.

Leave the light on overnight if there are any tankmates & you plan on moving them tomorrow. This allows the parents more visibility to fend off hungry tankmates.

I'll leave one of the two lights on until I get the divider in.. Hopefully all goes well, if not, that's fine. "Survival of the Fittest"

Some of the eggs are turning white and the parents aren't eating them, if they're not gone by morning should I remove the white eggs myself?
I could have two females, but from what I saw I'm pretty sure that the marble is a male and the silver is a female. Not positive though.
If I were to remove the white eggs would that disrupt their spawning and would they get stressed and eat the eggs?

I'd let them deal with any white eggs, angels have been raising fry longer than we have. If this spawn doesn't work out they will spawn again in 7-14 days, this gives you a bit of time to plan for the next spawn.

It seems either I have two females or the male hasn't caught on how to fertilize. Most the eggs have turned white, that's a relief I'll be removing the eggs pretty soon, I don't want them to rot.

Thanks for your help.
