Will anglefish and threadfin rainbow fish get along?

Angels killed my guppies by ripping their rear fins off. I don't know how fast or aware these fish are, but if they stay still much, the angels will try and sneak up on them and have a bite.

sorry its just that i used to keep threadfins and angels and i never had a problem. depends on the size and aggression levels of the angels i suppose.

but - better safe than sorry!!

if you get little angelfish and grow them up with the Iriatherina (threadfin rainbows) they might be ok together. But if you try to introduce a group of threadfins into a tank with adult angelfish, I think you will probably lose them.
If you want both species of fish, then get a 2ft tank for the Iriatherinas and leave the angels in a bigger tank. The rainbows will show up better in a smaller tank.

Would Dwarf Cichlids (Cockatoos. agazaii or even Rams) be fine with an angel. I'm getting the idea angels are not angles, they are kinda mean.

I have a young one and it's in a 29 gallon and it's in with 3 very active fem. bettas. Atm they get along but ib the future will this stay the same?

Dwarf cichlids like Apistogrammas and rams will be fine with angelfish.
Angels are only a problem when they start breeding and because of their size. They will eat small fish but so will most other fish. And they defend a territory when breeding so in a small tank they sometimes chase the other fish away from their nesting site. As far as fish go, angels are quite peaceful but they do eat little things.

Mine aren't aggressive as such, but they will peck at anything which stays still for too long...
