Angelfish And Sa Butterfly Cichlids

Does anyone have any experience mixing these two? From what I gather it's ok, but want to be sure.

SA Butterfly Cichlid is quite a vague term do you mean South African or South American? South African often refers to Anomalochromis Thomasi where as South American Butterfly can mean either Blue Rams or Laetacaras?

South American. Sorry. More specifically Apistogramma ramirezi. I thought those from Africa were generally referred to as just that. African

Angels and rams will do fine. Also that is not the correct name anymore, it has been changed to Mikrogeophagus instead of apistogramma.

Ah ok, it was just with it being a bit of a vague common name wanted to work out where it was coming from.
 
Blue Rams can work with Angels, but they are notoriously sensitive fish and will ideally need a low ph and high temperatures.
 
IMO there are better dwarf cichlids for general community tanks.
