in my 29 gal i have 1 rubber lip plec, 3 angels, and 5 albino corries. one of the angels which is the newest addition to the tank has been hiding a lot and clamped fins, and not a lot of swimming. he is eating and shows no sign of disease. all the other fish in the tank are prefectly fine including the other 2 angels. what could be wrong? maybe he feels threatened by the other 2 angels? what should i do?

If the other two are a pair- they will hound the new one- perhaps even kill it. If they are not a pair then they are probably sorting out the pecking order and it will resolve itself.

It is also possible the new fish was not healthy when you purchased it. Use of a Quaranteen tank is always a wise idea for new fish.

the other 2 are not a a pair. the fish was very healthy when i got it. it was the most active fish in the tank was showing off a bit too.

should i leave things be or seperate the fish?

I would leave things be for now but watch them closely. Sick fish tend to hide as do bullied ones. Watch for any symptoms such as loss of appetite, not pooping or anything external appearing.

Have you seen any signs of fighting?

And how do you know the other two are not a pair?
