Angel Fishmates

I've gotten a pair of Angels about 1.5" for my new setup (40gal) and I'm not sure which fish would go well with them
Ideally I'd like some electric yellows, blue acara & neon tetras but I'd like to know which kinds of fish would be better suited.

I'd avoid the electric yellows and the blue acara, might be too aggressive for the angels. Neons may become snacks for the angels as they grow.
Cardinal tetras may work as the angels are only small now, the cardinals should grow with the angels and hopefully wont end up on the menu. The problem comes when the cardinals die of old age and you have to replace them to keep the numbers up they will most likely be small and by this time the angels have grown to probably adult size and might have a go at eating the smaller tetras.

Suitable tankmates will include peaceful fish and no fin nippers. So cory cats, deep bodied tetras (so the angels wont eat them) and the more peaceful cichlids such as rams.
