hi folks, i have 2 angel fish along with 4 other hardy fish, it's quite a new set up but today noticed that 1 of the fish was sort of lifeless on the bottom of the tank, then it sort of propes it's self up against stuff then swims 4 a bit then goes back to the corner of the tank and lies side on, the other one has changed colour from white 2 a very sort of yellow what the hell is going on? i am new to keeping fish and have tested water and all seem fine any ideas? thanks!

Can you post your water stats please.
How many gallons is the tank.
What type of other fish are in the tank.
The symtoms the fish is showing can be signs of a bacterial infection.
Does the fish look bloated or thin.
Does the fish look pale or darker in colour.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet.

The fish that has gone yellow what type of fish is it.
Make sure in not its colouring.
Yellow golden spots or a yellow gold dusting can be velvet.

as for the toilet side i can only discribe it as white

Need to know size of tank please.
I would never advise 90% water changes they stress the fish out to much by altering water stats to fast.
Best to do 30% water changes.
Long stringy white poo can be constipation, bacterial infection, to internal parasites.
What do you feed your fish.
We need to know what the other fish are in the tank besides the angels.

the tank is a 60 ltr tank, the fish is a angel fish other fish include 4 zebra doms and 2 barbs the tank has been set up 4 about a month, some of the other fish seem to be pecking at it, the other angel fish is like a pale faint yellow

Your tanks overstocked with the angels they need 25 gallons tanks.
Bad water quality takes its toll on fish.
Has the tank ever cycled yet with a 0 ammonia and nitrite reading.

the water seems to be a little cloudy

A 90% water change is to big.
The cloudy tank could be a bacterial bloom.
You don't touch the sponges in the filter do you.
Added to many fish to soon, you just add a few hardly fish till the tank has cycled.

You need to read up on the nitrogen cycle.
Always make sure the fish you buy are appropriate for your tank size.
Also always make sure the fish are compatiable.
Research the fish before you buy.

why does the fish act half dead then all in 2 mins it's up and swimming then suddenly drops to the bottom or seems to stick 2 the side of plants or something?

The fish is dying.
I woudn't buy anymore angels the tanks not big enough.
I would carry on with water changes, and increase aeration.
Read up on a cycling tank.
