Angel Fish With Finrot

My angelfish has had finrot and been treated in the "hospital" for a week now. I have 2 questions, first, how long should I leave it in there? Second, how long will it take for it's fins to grow back? Thanks.

What have you been treating with, is it finrot or through fin nipping.
Hard to say without a decription of the fins to see if there healing.

I'm pretty sure it's finrot. Only the tail has gone. The fish had the red streaking but I didn't realise that this was a symptom! The tail hasn't continue to "disappear" and there is no red anymore. Sorry I can't really give any more of a description! Can't remember the name of the treatment of the top of my head, will have to find out when I go home this evening.

Red streaking is septicemia and once it has progressed very hard to cure.

I'll just leave him in the hospital tank. The red streaking is gone now, it went ages ago and the angel seems a lot happier now.
