Whoo Hoo! :D

Got home last night to see that my two new adult Angel fish (c. 6" high) had not only sucessfully paired but also spawned on the leaf of an Amazon Sword plant!

I was really chuffed as it's great to know that you have got the tank conditions so good that the fish are willing and healthy enough to breed.

Only problem was went to the cinema and by the time got home all the eggs were gone (it's a community tank!). Is there anyway to avoid this appart from removing all the other fish?

I think I know the answer is no but just thought I would check anyway!

PS Same thing happend when my cories layed eggs

 you can't not post pics !

Congratulations ! :good: let us know how it goes.

i remember when my angels spawned i was dead chuffed, i was running round saying "i`m gonna be a daddy" but i ended up removing the leaf as all the other fish were being bullied,
however i`m hopefully going to be setting up a breeding/growing out tank in the near future and if they show signs of breeding regularly i`ll be placing mummy and daddy in the tank on there own and await babys

Before you consider raising angels, you need to find a place to sell or give away 100-300 little fish. You also need at least 100 gallons for a small spawn, 200+ gallons for a larger spawn. This doesn't need to all be one tank, I use plenty of smaller ones.
