Hello everyone I was wondering, What's the maximum tank height for angel fish?

i think its about 30g but the tank needs to be atleast 18" high

neither,I have a 42 gallon and I am still wondering what to put in it

a pair of angles and a shoal of bigger tetras/rasboras and then a shoal of corys on the bottom and a bn or another type of catish or ram would work

It depends on the species

P.leopoldi, 3-4 inches tall, so needs a tank where the distance from the substrate to the water line is 12 inches

P.scalare, 6 inches tall, same as above but 18 inches

P.altum up to 12 inches, same as above but 30 inches

forgot to mention,the tank is to short.But I did think of one community without angels.10 tiger barbs,2 clown plecos,5 sterpai corys,8 rummy nose tetras,10 guppys and maybe a center peice fish like a pair of key hole chichlids?

clown loaches need to be kept in groups of 6 and get to big for a 42g i wouldnt but tiger barbs and guppys togethrer and i think tiger barbs get to big for a 42g but im not sure.

your probably right about the guppys, can I replace them with platies?,and I didn't mention a clown loach

ow sorrry i misread it i thought you said clown loaches not clown plecs and im not really sure i dont know that much about tiger barbs so your better of waiting till someone else comes along

i would up the corys and tetras to 10
so
2 clown plecs
10 corys
2 keyholes
10 rummy nose tetras
10 platys
1 anglefish
should be ok
