constipated?

Is she looking underweight at all? As long as her bum isn't red or inflamed looking , i would put it down to internal bacterial infection.

any way of treating?

Also try some shelled peas and frozen daphnia.

Just use some anti internal bacterial meds, there are plenty to chose from depending on where you live, also feed her some peas and daphinia like wider said just to make sure its not a gut/constipation problem.

she wont eat :(

Sadly it not sound good then, is she resting on things, can she maintain her balance in the water, does she look bloated.

no, shes not bloated, im going to try not feeding them for a few days, then try some daphnia, ill go check now if she's resting (tank in bedroom)

shes moping in the rtbs'/pictus' rock caves now

any news? I have one of my angels doing exactly the same thing. It sucks in some food and spits it all out again so I'm sure it is eating very little. Poo is white and stringy, tummy bulging. the other one is hanging around it looking worried - in as much as an angel can look worried..... You know what I mean. I'm the one who's worried, of course. I dread coming down to a dead angel tomoro.

nope, shes doing the same as before :-(

snap - still alive but hanging about listlessly in the corner of the tank out of the current. had a look at the food this am but didn't try to take any. Dorsal fin is clamped and not errect. not hopefull at all. bacteria or parasite, I think. It was a very strong healthy fish in prime condition, which is why it is going down slowly I'm guessing. makes the whole tank a sad place to be around.

sounds just like mine :(

is there nothing we can do?

I've treated with a multi action treatment - eSHa 2000 - yesterday and today. will it do any good? Is there anything better? peas in the tank please everyone else - but angel is not eating so wtf. Angel still not interested in food and still white stringy dangling poop. but has been maintaining balance throughout. is a little more active in the tank. though dorsal fin not erect or spread. please help us to save them!
