ive just seen a mark on my angel fishes head, could it be hole in the head

i hope it is not that

Hole in the head usually starts off as pitting.
But think it can start as sores.
Get you some info.

Ulcer can also be pink with a edging of dead white skin.

I do not believe in medicating a fish unless absolutely needed. I would increse water changes, perhaps add a little melafix. HITH is not a quickly progressing ailment, I would treat it merely as an injury, perhaps from a tank ornament. I would keep an eye on it, if it is an injury it will heal rather quickly. HITH progresses slowly, if it gets larger, or spreads over the next week I would then consider treating as HITH.

I would have waited, by medicating a fish without a near definite diagnosis you risk creating resistant strains. Waterlife will not tell you the ingredients in their medications, so you don't know exactly what you have treated your fish with. When treating HITH, much more success is obtained with clean water, and a flake or pellet with vitamins added.
