and then there were two

But don't thin it out too much. Nannostomus of all types love cover.
That's the big community tank where I have 1/3 of the tank with 100% cover - held in situ with an acrylic baffle. I intend to keep it that way. As I was draining the tank it spread, so when the tank is full its denser than that suggests.

This is the 100% view nannostomus tank this morning - no plans to thin that yet

It also defends against against the non-adjustable bright LED and provides a great way to feed them.

And that's how easy it is to devolve into an unmanaged jungle. It looks really cool now so the temptation to not trim the ambulia canopy for another week is strong ...

Meanwile her ladyship is still refusing to tolerate anything along the left wall :D

I have something similar in my 90L, an Ambulia canopy looks great from above

Still all good in here and developing.

Now that I am confident about the water quality I'm doing a single change weekly of around 50%. I've also reduced the root trims to once a week, still 2 days to go!
Feeding time is fun because I just chuck it in the top and leave them to figure out how to get it. They always do :D
This is the tank I mentioned in another thread could do with some yellow shrimp - but not yet as I'm still using pure RO in here.

Question. How do you not get holes in the leaves of the Hygrophila!? Both of my tanks have that plant, and it's the only plant that has holes

Don't do anything special. The only thing I have started doing is periodically ripping the whole lot out and just re-planting the tips, probably every 4-6 weeks.

But that's only to stop it getting too thick and bushing out. No idea why the one on the left decided to grow horizontally this time and shoot upwards when it hit the wall - its all one plant rooted behind where the second cory is, it has sent roots down along its travels. I bought one little pot of Siamensis 53b tissue culture about 10 years ago. Its a gift that just keeps giving
