Hi everyone, my 150 NW cichlid tank is losing a fish about every three days. I've been paying close attention to my parameters and my ammonia is 0, pH 7.3 and nitrites 0. I feed cichlid pellets and flakes, frozen brine and bloodworms, and freeze dried tubiflex worms. The tank has two firemouths, two severums, one texas, one acara and a pleco. I've lost an acara, a texas, and my ghost knife. The fish show no physical symptoms other than they are listless (spelling) for three or four days and then they die. This is really frustrating me, so any suggestions, theories, guesses would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is just my "guess" but I had firemouths a few years ago and they killed the other cichlids and a cory in my tank. They are very aggressive. One that was killed was also a Texas cichlid. -_-

I actually did wonder if there was a culprit in the tank, but the firemouths were just sent to me by mistake about a week ago and the mystery deaths started before they arrived. Also, the dead fish are fully intact with no torn fins or any other type of injuries. I just reread by original post and I also have a convict in there. Are there other things I should be testing for?

might be stress from cons. they are territorial and probably fought off the other cichlids. ghost knifes are easily stressed from my experience.

Alright, now my 12 inch pleco just died and I don't think that he was killed. Does anyone have any ideas, given this new info?
