Noticed yesterday that my male ancistrus has a white blotch on his underside that, to me, seems like heater burn. Would still like to get an opinion from someone with a bit more experience.
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - < 5ppm

Bumping this up, hope someone can help....

it doesn't look like a normal disease, so if the fish has been sitting on the heater, it could well be a burn.

I haven't noticed it do so, but I am waiting on a heater guard just in case. In the meantime more water changes and hoping for the best.
