I have currently treated my aquarium with Cupramine, which at first proved great. until two weeks later. Secondary infection, second wave of worm came back stronger!

I was advised to use:

PARAZIN P

Which is more commonly used in ponds

So I emailed Waterlife:

Subject: Parazin P

Dear CCFC MONKEY,
Parazin P is the best medication on the market for the eradication of anchor worm. It will take between 7 and 10 days to eradicate the whole life cycle of the parasites. It is better to overdose than underdose with this product as if you underdose it will not work. We have conducted trials overdosing by 20 times the recommended amount and have not killed any fish. Therefore we would suggest that if your tank is smaller the 25 gallons that you use one full tablet. Between 25 and 50 gallons 2 full tablets etc. This product was originally developed as a pond remedy but is safe in aquariums providing no crustaceans are present.
Regards,
WATERLIFE.

Has salt wont kill this sort of parasite, I looked further. Salt wont kill, but it will lower the risk of infection!

Pond Doctor

It is highly recommended "NOT" to pull out the Anchor Worm.

I will treat my aquarium with Parazin as soon as the carbon takes away the cupramine, and will inform you of the results.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER - Hope you find this information useful!

Ok good luck, also interpet does a med anti crustaceon which is for anchor worm, lice, and maggots.

Just a quick note to let you know.

I have been Anchor worm free for over a month now. The worms that are attached to the fish have moulted off. Leaving no secondary infection. And all fish seem fine!

Thanks to Parazin P.

Wonderful stuff.

Glad you finally got rid of them there very nasty, well done.
