As a newbie, Ive been struggling trying to match up my water test results with the card, but stumbled across this idea...
I was taking a photo of my test originally to post on here as I was confused as to what the actual results were. It was then I relaised that the camera was taking a lot of the glare and transparency out of the test tubes leaving me with a solid colour to compare aganst the card. I was able almost instantly to match up the results with the card.
Now I know that cameras (particularly phone cameras) have a low range of colour compared to the human eye but is this necessarily a bad thing? They still have lots of different shades of orange and purple and green and it's almost like the camera picks the closest colour and goes with that, taking the head scratching out of intepreting the test tubes.
What are people's thoughts on this?
