I am so fed up with this black bread algea. I have it under control but removing it by hand as best I can. But I would like a fish go help me. It's so hard to find true sae bout my lfs gets American flag fish in from time to time and I know they will order then for me. I read they are just as good at eating algae as the sae.

Dose any one have these fish and are they as good as I have read.

What is the black bread algae on, like if it was on bog wood pleco eats most algae.

I once had a lot of it on an Anubis. I just dipped it in bleach, washed it and put it back in the tank. Whatever wasnt killed straight way died within a few days. Very effective. I suppose it depends on what it is growing on though.

It's really bad on my Anubis. I beach my plastic plants Every few months. I have a bn Pleco she keeps the wood clean but the plants are screwed. My sword plant has it I just cut back a bunch of leaves and rub off as much as I can. Maybe I will just get a school of ottos and see what happens. I have had this awful bba for years so I now how to keep it under control but can't get rid of it.

I bought four Oto's when my tank had a lot of brown algae and they stripped it bare within a week (180l tank). I do not think that they will eat black beard though. I did read that SAE's are one of the only things that will eat this. I might be wrong though. Have you bleached your Anubis?

No I will try and bleach Anubis I was scared to. I clipped a bunch of leaves off it.
