Hi

I've got about 4 amazon swords, but one of them is growing way too tall. Its in a 125 litre tank, but it's growing out of the tank and even starting to push the lid up. About half of all the leaves are poking out of the water, what should i do? if i cut them they wont grow back and it will die won't it?

help will be appreciated :good:

You could easily cut them to your standards. They will grow back but any excess amount of leaves you leave behind when trimming towards the base will rot causing ammonia problems

So are you saying to make sure you cut the stem all the way back to the base?

if you dont want to cut it i will buy one off you lol (just a thought)
im looking for a larger amazon sword :)

some advise from Tropica was to cut the large leaves at the base, and cut them hard, leaving only a few leaves. This will keep most echinodorus small/smaller. :good:
