Hi All

I have had an amazon sword in my tank for about 4-5 weeks now, and about 2 weeks ago i noticed a long stem coming from the middle of the plant, it grew about 1cm a day.

The thing is, I thought it was a flower, but after reading i'm not so sure now, is this how smaller plants can start?

It has about 8 segments on it (it has now reached the waters surface) and at the beginning of each segment there are small leaves growing, I noticed today that where the smaller leaves are growing there seem to be roots growing just below them (the longest is only about 1.5-2cms).

Are these the makings of smaller amazons? If so how do I separate them and replant them?

Any help would be appreciated as I'm a bit thick when it comes to this stuff

Cheers

If there is roots hanging from the stem and it looks like a seperate sword growing from the stem then you can simply pull off the flower from the stem.
