I have just set up a 125L (33g) Amazonian aquarium which is currently going through the aging process. I was looking at stocking it with some Rams, appistogramas, small angels, small flag cichlids (mesonauta insignis), some corys and a school of cardinals (and some shrimp / housekeeping loaches to keep algae in check). The tank is well planted with lots of bogwood for cover.
I know the angels & flag cichlids are likely to eat Neons once they are larger, but are the cardinals likely to be safer? Especially if they are large specimens when I get them? I am planning on buying small angels & flag cichlids so they grow up with the others around them. I have read conflicting advice on the compatability of these fish in a community.
Has anyone had experiance with these species together? what would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!
