Amazon Abyss

For all you people out there staying in England, "Amazon Abyss" has just started on channel 1!
I'll give you the low-down once it has finished

I thought it was suprisingly short, still i suppose its gonna be continued... The catfish looked realy cool though- that armour-plated plec was gorgeous!

Yeah the electric ones were realy cool although i would feel realy nervous in water that murky and so many man-eating fish about, here's a link i got with some of the low-down on the fish they have/are featuring(hope the link works);

I found it quite disapointing, i have or have had one of or a close relative of every fish they found in todays program, but i think it will get better over the week.

Yeah it was a bit disapointing but its one of those programs where you know the first part of the series is just a taster/teaser of whats to come. Im realy looking forward to seeing that massive 1.5m catfish and giant otter !

I caught abit of it and didn't think it was bad, I should think it will improve as it goes on to. Apparently they discovered four new species while they were filming.

not bad for the first of the series, i spotted 3 fish that i keep, especially like the shots they got the geophagus, which i think was the G. surimensis??

bit of an ass waiting until next week for the next one though, alot too much talk though, what was the point of the dragged out filming of the very nice muddy water!!

What amazed me the most is that there are fish that can actually thrive in water that muddy! I mean, suppose somone was keeping some of those amazon fish and you went to their house and asked to see their fish and you went into a completly dark room with a tank filled half way up with mud and with seemingly sea sponges you'd think they'd have a marine tank that went seriously wrong!
