Just wonderin if you guys think i'm insanely overstocked....my fish are on my sig plus i added 3 more juvi peacocks about 2.5" which is still unidentified...will post pic later...BTW. i have an AC300 and a rena filstar xp2 canister filter with 30% water change weekly...thanks...

yeah, thats not cool... :grr:

You are WAY overstocked.. i really feel sorry for your fish. I wish they could have gotten a better home... If you cut the amount of fish in half... you'd still be overstocked--reconsider fishkeeping as a hobby.

Take all your fish back and start over otherwise they will live a horrible cramped life... :rip:

It's not as bad as others are making it out to be. Yes you are overstocked but you have pretty much a species tank with fish that are not aggressive to there own kind. You need to step up the water changes to 60% a week and I would drop all but the africans as well which would lighten the load.

I have a TFH magazine that had a 55 african stocked much higher than yours but he did dailey water changes. The fish did fine but he put in alot of work in.

No need to give up the hobby or feel sorry for the fish if you are willing to make an effort.

Yes you are severely overstocked, but if you're fish are doing well and you can keep up with it, then more power to you. I do have a concern for the mbuna, since it must be tough to cator to their diet in a tank like that, but I'm sure if anything is not working out you'll change it.

How many of these fish are adults?

If you see the pics that i posted last week with all the fish I have except for the new ones that I bought then you wouldn't be saying this.....Most of my peacocks are still baby's about 1.5". So Don't feel sorry for them cause they are in really good hands....BTW you are supposed to overstocked if your keeping african cichlids to reduce their agression, but I just want somebody to keep my fish addiction in tabs...I only both the new fish because they are really cheap....I'm planning on selling my red shoulder peacock(adult), my afra(adult), one of my calvus....

I thought this was the friendlest forum around? :(

No fish is better off overstocked...

If they are that little then they will be fine for now... Some adjustments will probably need to be made when they grow to their adult size but I trust you have it under control...

Sorry I was so angry... my dog had just torn up my couch  thats why i prefer fish :p

tank212: we're still human... :fun:

You have more fish than what is in my 120 gallon and all of my fish are like half the size of what yours will be when adults. :p I agree with sticking just to the species tank and try to re-home everything else.

No problem Dude... :D ...I know most of this fish would be quite large when fully grown, but for now they seem to be doing great..not for the new comers though as they are being haste right now(just like the prat), but once they become part of the brother hood, then it's all good... :p . Most of my fish are the product of my impluse buying, sometimes I can't really control myself if I see a good deal...I knew I should've got a bigger tank..... :p ....I just got my 75 gallon this christmass and i want to upgrade....

Sold some of my fish today....my biggest one too...I'm going to miss him, but once my peacock baby's starts to colour up...it will help me forget about him....I shouldn't be severly overstock now...... :p
