The tank is an 83 gallon 5ft bow front it has:

1 common plec (about 5 inch's)
1 bristle nose plec (about 5 inch's too)
1 male sword tail
2 female sword tails
4 amano shrimp
1 spotted climbing perch
3 bronze corys
2 jullii corys
4 clown loachs
8 black phantom tetras
1 german blue ram
about 5 pentazona barbs
about 6 neon tetras
about 4 glowlight tetras
3 black neon tetras
1 male dwarf cokatoo cichlid
1 female dwarf cokatoo cichlid

i have 2 aqua one CF 1000 external filters and a fluval 3 internal running on the tank. The tank also has quite alot of plants, readings are fine (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate)

just worried about adding to many fish!!

the plec, clown loachs and climbing perch will likely be moved into a bigger tank some time this year

Not sure about the stocking, but I would be worried about that ctenopoma, in time it will eat your shrimp, neons and anyfish that can fit in its mouth (which is surprisingly large).

hence the reason hes going in a bigger tank with the loachs and plec ;)

he's still only a baby at the moment (although his mouth is HUGE )

in my sig you can see him to the bottom right of the bright orange swordtail (small/average size)

Yep sounds fine to me as well.

Personally if it was me I would get a few more of each of the tetra species you have to bring each group up to at least 6 and maybe a couple up to 10-12.

1 common plec (about 5 inch's) - Probably ok.
1 bristle nose plec (about 5 inch's too) - Fine
1 male sword tail - Fine
2 female sword tails - Fine
4 amano shrimp - Would like more company...I think..
1 spotted climbing perch - Not sure
3 bronze corys - Would like 6
2 jullii corys - Would like 6
4 clown loachs - Fine
8 black phantom tetras - Good
1 german blue ram - Ok
about 5 pentazona barbs - fine
about 6 neon tetras
about 4 glowlight tetras - would like a few more
3 black neon tetras - would like a few more
1 male dwarf cokatoo cichlid - fine
1 female dwarf cokatoo cichlid - fine

Yeah personally I think you could up the shoals a lot.

thats good then, i wanted to up the numbers of tetra and corys but was worried i was overstocked as it is.

As soon as my LFS gets some cherry shrimp i'll have a few of them too
