Hi Gang :)

At the moment I have a Juwel Rio125 , its lightly planted and has a sand substrate approx 2-2.5 inches deep, it is filtered with the standard internal Juwel filter and a Fluval 205 external.

I'm currently stocked with 11 Corys and 11 Cardinals, I'm hoping to add more Tetras do I have room ?

TIA

Yup. Plenty of room IMO- with the extra filtration and relatively low bioload fish, there's enough for quite a few more.

EDIT- Stoooopid double posty thing.

Many thanks, If your in the mood to answer questions I'd like to hit you with more :hyper:

Will any other Tetras shoal with my Cardinals or will I have to keep the Cardinal shoal "pure" as it were ?

Cheers for your help :good:

depends what tetra's you get, if they're similar coloured they'll probably shoal together a bit, neons and cardinals for instance are virtually identical and will hang out together happily.

however if you went for example for rummy nose tetra's they won't shoal together. shouldn't be any fighting or anything like that but they will be 2 distinct groups.

I'm not overly keen on Neons i'm afraid , i kinda see em as wannabe Cardinals *hangs head in shame*

And I'd rather have one large shoal then two distinct ones (fussy aint I ?) was thinking maybe Glowlights ? but In all honesty I'd rather increase the shoal of Cardinals then risk having 2 small shoals

ha ha i don't like neons either ;)

and i agree with you that fewer species but larger groups looks much better than lots of groups. I'd go with more cardinals too :good:

They probably won't school together (two different species), but there won't be any adverse effects of having two schools.

Cheers gang - you all rock :good:

I'm still undecided , I'm either gonna get another 6 Cardies or 6 of whatever looks best in the LFS. At least I'm confidant I've got the room.

I'll let you know how it goes, once again :thanks:

I really like cardinals but, I think I'm going to go with just phantoms. I'm really not too impressed with my red eye's :( they seem mean.

I'm a bit of a newbie, but harlequins will hang out with anyone I've found. Not fussy at all!

I lie - the real reason for me replying was to say RED Army

Come away from the dark side... :hey: ;)
