i have a 46gallon Bowfront tank. The tank is planted, i have 2 green tiger barbs, 6 tiger barbs, 1 red tail shark, 1 bristlenose plec, and a paradise blue gourami. Iam i overstocked? If not what else can i get

Id say no. Id also gte more tiger barbs because they like to school. Maybe a pair of rams and some corys would also fit.

All of those fish, with the exception of the Bristlenose, are semi-aggressive community fish. You will want to get something that can hold its own. I would be careful about getting Corys with that dynamic.

rams u mean blue rams right, Would a 46 gallon not be too small

Blue rams may find the tiger barbs a little too active for them - they are generally pretty peaceful cichlids, except when breeding. I would get more barbs - they look great in a large school.

What about some albino barbs, which are a lovely golden colour?

mixing different breeds of barbs is okj right. My LFS has a bunch of babrs all different colours i would like to get

There is a thread on another forum, where someone is setting up a barb tank - someone recommended different kinds of barbs as suitable - you could have a wee look there :)

I think what you mean is different color strains of tiger barbs? If so, yes, you can mix them just fine.

You can also do as Fiori said and get other barbs. Your current 6 tiger barbs would, however, benefit from some more fish of the same species (color doesn't matter).
