I've never been concerned about how much I feed my fish in my two tanks 65L and 240L. I have always fed once in the morning sprinkling a small amount of flake to spread across the surface. Every few days I give them frozen brine shrimp or tubifex. I've had minimal uneaten food but I wonder if I'm giving them enough. They always come to the glass when I appear but I've always put this down to them enjoying company. Am I wrong, and are they starving?? It's reading about people here feeding twice a day that's set me wondering??

Seems there are two schools of thought on this. Some feed as infrequently as every other day, some as much as several times a day in small amounts. I feed mine very small amounts frequently, maybe three times a day. They still rush the front of the tank every time someone walks by. Your fish are not starving.

All your fish are doing is associating the presence of a human with food.
Ours are no different. When either Lynda or myself approach the tank, then most will come to the glass to see if they are going to be fed - and end up somewhat disappointed when they are not!!!!
