I have a 55 gallon with

1 killifish
1 pleco ( currently looking to rehome him, he is 5 inches long)
5 male guppies
1 guppy fry
3 platy (young ones)
1 molly
5 yoyo loaches
1 apple snail

I tend to feed every day, usually skipping one day a week. I feel shrimp pellets that sink to the bottom (usually 3-4 total), then crush some flakes on top just a small pinch, and 1 algae disc. Sometimes I will also just give them some thawed brine shrimp instead.

They always seem like they can eat more, but I don't want to over feed....

well, fish don't really know when to stop eating so even if they seem hungry, they're really not. their stomach is only as big as the size of their eye, but feeding less is better than overfeeding. I don't think they mind, I heard they can live a month without food :good:

I'd say, feed enough so that everyone gets a little bit, it sounds like you're feeding them a little bit too much though.
